L&L: Getting More out of Your Asset and Your Logistics Arms
1 + 1 = 3: Getting More out of Your Asset and Your Logistics Arms
Many transportation businesses have an asset arm and a logistics arm, but most of those businesses struggle with internal battles between the two, and they do not get the value add of having both service offerings. Too often 1+1 = 1.5. Our presentation will walk TIA members through best practices to get strong internal alignment between their logistics and asset arms, fewer internal battles, and real value add to their bottom line. Gary and I will bounce back and forth throughout the presentation. Gary has an operations background in asset and logistics businesses, and he will focus on the real issues on the floor. Doug has a legal, risk management, and administration background, and he will focus on best risk management practices to manage liability risk without cutting off the business' ability to get value add from having a logistics and an asset-based business.
